Lions Creek Olive Estate

Lions Creek Olive Estate is nestled in the picturesque Nuy Valley, between Worcester and Robertson, and spans 345 hectares with 11 cultivars of olive trees. The estate's name is inspired by the confluence of the Leeu River and Gamka River, named after the lion in Afrikaans and Khoisan, respectively. This majestic predator once roamed the area, lending its name to the estate's premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

345 hectares comprising of 11 cultivars have been established in the Karoo and are supplemented by olive groves in the Nuy Valley where Andries & Louise Rabie began their olive oil journey.

Join us on this journey by exploring the exquisite range of Olive Oils and Balsamic Vinegars from Lions Creek.

Sustainable Farming Practices

The arid climate makes for disease-free groves and while precision farming is practiced for optimum irrigation and fertilisation, the use of glyphosates as a means of eradicating weeds has been replaced by supporting and increasing the growth of indigenous ground covers which acts as natural mulch.

This approach not only enhances the quality of their olive oil but also supports the environment.

Product Range

The variety of cultivars enables the production of a wide array of single cultivar Extra Virgin Olive Oils and the Karoo Blend – an EVOO of which the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Along with an extensive range of flavoured olive oils, Lions Creek can offer the perfect match for any dish, or to suit each and every palate. A diverse selection of Balsamic vinegars imported from Italy complements the estate’s olive oils.

The simplicity, honesty, and wholesomeness of the Karoo are evident in the unadulterated Extra Virgin Olive Oil, boasting a wealth of antioxidants and micronutrients – adding flavour and health to life!
